I'll add stuff as I figure it out.
I've written some javascript to do automatic table of content generation from the headers on a page. A lot of others have done this too, and I learned from some of them (in particular thanks to Peter-Paul Koch), but I think mine has some interesting twists and is abstracted into an object.
